Aeron trudged through the darkness, Reon following close behind. The wind whipped snow and ice up at her face. She was sheilding her eyes with one hand. The blackness was all around her, creeping closer, it seemed, with every step she took.
Reon sped up a little to catch up to Aeron. "We should stop," he told her. They both knew it but their time was limited and they had a lot to do. "We can't," she responded, "there's no shelter. We'd freeze to death." Reon sighed and continued on, he was beggining to question why they didn't take a sledge and tent. Aeron could be so stupid sometimes. He looked around and spotted something. Something moving. Aeron noticed it too and immediately had an axe in each hand. Girl and Dæmon edged closer to the whatever it was. Both on edge. "It's probably a tree or something," Aeron said, not even convincing herself. There were things in places like this. Evil things. Enemies. Bears and withches and worse. Aeron distrusted witches and disliked bears. The Jakobs' have had bad relations with a clan of witches in the past. Anyone who wasn't part of her family couldn't be trusted. The movement suddenly stopped. Aeron frose and readied her weapons, Reon crouched and prepaired to spring.

Lee trudged around his anchored air balloon, and pondered to himself. "That's mighty odd, ain't it, Hester?" He looked down towards the small hare daemon with a raised brow.
Lee went around, trying to get out all of the air from the landing he'd taken not long ago. A witch flies around him, smiling."Here let me help." She flew over to the spot where the air needed to be forced out, and applied the slightest amount of pressure. Lee looked in astonishment at how much the witch knew of balloons to help him, then he realized, and his mouth changes from an astonished gaping, to a warm smile.
"Samin?! It's sure been a while, hasn't it? I remember when I had first met you and Queen Pekkala.
"Yup! It's me, Mr. Scoresby!" She still looked gleeful as ever."So, Mr. Scoresby, did you crash, or did you land safely?" She asks intently. Lee chuckles saying,"I don't crash all the time y' know. But I did land safely." Their conversation continued along as it had back when they had first met, until Phiotion comes whizzing by.
"Ah! I remember you, Phiotion, right?! Samin's daemon." Lee waves politely.
Phiotion looks troubled. He says a kind hello and spills everything."S-Samin! Someone's coming this way!" The fluttery owl daemon said in fear.
Not thinking, Samin runs behind Lee and hides, then realizes what she was doing.

Aeron took a few more steps through the swirling snow. She could make out a figure. It looked strange. It didn't seem human, it was an odd shape and seemed to have more limbs than normal. Reon's feline eyes could see better than his human. "There are two figures, one behind the other." He told her, "A man and a young woman. I think they know we're here." Aeron readied herself for a fight and stepped foreward. She immediately noticed the woman's lack of wam, winter clothing. She was a witch. Aeron tensed and raised her weapons. "Who are you?" she asked, "What are you doing here?" Reon crouched, prepaired to spring if the need arised. People around here couldn't always be trused. There were many raiders and hunters who preyed on lone travellers.

Samin retracted."EEP!" She says, with a small squeak, ducking down behind Lee. She looked up again towards the figure."I'm Samin E-Edogawa. I'm helping him," Samin points to Lee,"tie up his balloon." Samin then looks towards the weapons held firmly in the girl's hand."Eh, please don't point that thing at either of us, we haven't done wrong or somesuch thing..." Phiotion fluttered like crazy."Are you threatening us?" He says boldly.
Hush Phio!
But what if they attack?
Then follow my lead. If the figure attacks, I'll just cut her off and out maneuver it.
Lee whispered words of comfort to the witch."Don't worry. We're no trouble. I just landed my balloon here, and Samin here came to help." Lee smiles lightly. "May I ask who you are, and what you are doing here also?" He says politely.
Phiotion glares at the girls daemon and flaps his wings. Hester does nothing, since she didn't want to get into another deadly battle.

Aeron lowered her axes but kept them in hand. Just in case. These people didn't seem dangerous, even if one was a witch. "we're traveling." Aeron told the man when asked what she was doing, "Looking for someone. You haven't seen a man have you? About twenty, with sort of blondish hair? He'd probably be wearing a big coat and armour." She was aware that she had limited time in which to search for her brother so she had to make the most of her time. Reon relaxed and lay in the snow at Aeron's feet. "You're a witch?" Aeron asked the woman. " I know you are, you'd freeze otherwise. You haven't had any experiences with a group of mercenaries in the past have you?" Aeron distrusted witches because of their battle tactics. A group had once attacked a group of her relatives by swooping low, firing an arrow at point blank range then retreating into the cover of the clouds. The cowards wouldn't face their attackers head on. All but one of the mercenaries had died in that sneak attack..

"Ah, traveling! That's a great thing to do." Lee smiles. Samin steps out from behind Lee, apologizing for her sudden movement."No, I'm sorry. I can't say I have met anyone like what you described." He says to her question. The girl suddenly asked if Samin was a witch, so she nodded her head."Yup! I am from the tribe of Lake Enara." She smiles, trying to get the girl to drop her weapons so she could be able to feel safe talking to the girl. "I have defended myself from some mercenaries about 10 years ago. Bunch of mediocre fighters sent to kill some witch. The mercenaries attacked me, mistaking me for the target. Unfortunately, some of them died. But I did not kill most of them..." She pondered on her past dealings with mercenaries.
"Why do you ask? Did you ever have dealings with mercenaries, or friends who were mercenaries?" Samin asks Phiotion. Phiotion looked at the girl carefully, and noticed something peculiar.
Samin, I think SHE is a mercenary...
Eh? So I just gave her enough reason to attack Mr. Scoresby and myself? Well that was super smart!
Samin retracted about a half an inch backward. Lee looked puzzled at Samin's scared expression, yet did not comment.

Aeron returned her axes to her belt. These people seemed nice enough. She was disappointed that they hadn't seen her brother but it was a big world. When the witch spoke of her encounter with mercenaries Aeron couldn't help giggling a little. "Mediocre fighters. Obviously different mercenaries. The Jakobs are the best in all of Norroway." Reon glanced up at his girl. watch what you say. he told her telepathically we don't know these people, they might be our enemies. relax replied Aeron. I can take these two easily
'Did you ever have dealings with mercenaries, or friends who were mercenaries?'
"My whole family has been mercenaries for generations. My name is Aeron Jakobs." said the girl with a smile. "and you two are?"

Lee calmed down a bit, seeing the weapon out of the girls hands. He put his own gun in his holster as well. Samin smiled, and listened intently, yet jolts a bit when she hears the last name 'jakobs'."I've heard of them...I think my old clan was a nasty enemy of the Jakobs...I heard they launched an attack sometime between 20 an' 30 years..."
Lee's worries returned, sensing such confidence in the girl, and started to feel tension, as if she was going to attack the both of them.
Samin, you seriously ARE a complete idiot...OBVIOUSLY she's gonna attack you, since she probably thinks you were ONE of the witches involved!
EH? ARE YOU SERIOUS? Samin blinked and was feeling scared. She curses under her breath, and looks for something to clutch onto or hide behind. Instinctively, she clasped onto Lee Scoresby's warm coat. She did not like what she felt as of now.
Lowly under her breath, she glances at Lee, and says,"Mr. Scoresby, I suggest we run...I'm sorry, it's because of my big mouth, but I'll ward this 'mercenary' off with my sword and arrow..." Samin half mocks Aeron under her breath.
She let go of Lee and hugged him."If I die, then good luck flying." She smiles. "Where's the optimistic young witch I met in the cold winds of Norroway? I doubt you'll die, you survived very critical wounds, if you'll remember." He said, attempting to help her confidence grow.
"Ah, yes! Mr. Scoresby, you shouldn't help battle this time, you could get hurt, and if another gets hurt, then I feel guilty..." She looks towards the girl, no longer whispering.
She unsheathes her sword, putting it in a blocking position."If you attack Mr. Scoresby or myself, I will be forced to kill you, and will show no mercy. For if you lay any damage onto my close friend, Mr. Scoresby, I WILL KILL YOU." She says, emphasizing the last part of her speech.
"If you have the guts and the courage, you may make the choice. A fight, or not attempting revenge for the death of some of the Jakobs family, since I took a small part in that." Samin smiles, even at how she worded everything. Lee blinks, nodding astonished at how she could be so optimistic during a battle. And even more astonished that Samin let the girl attack first.

Aeron drew a pistol and pointed it at the witch's head. "I could shoot you right now with no trouble whatsoever. But there's no Honor in that. So I'll make you a deal, I don't shoot you and you don't shoo me. I've seen your kind, fly off into cover and shoot from there like cowards." She said. Throwing the pistol to the ground in front of the two, Aeron turned to the man. "My only other condition is hat you don't get involved. I've got nothing against you and you've got no problem with me. This it between me and the witch." Reon crouched, ready to spring at their opponent's Dæmon. Now do you see why I told you to be careful? he asked her. we're only young and this witch has had years of combat experience.. Relax Aeron replied, readying her axes once more. We have the advantage. This blizzard is bad for her as well as us and I've had more rigorous training and better armour. You are more suited to fighting than her bird. we WILL win. girl and Dæmon prepared for combat.

Samin raised an eyebrow."Was it wise to drop your pistol?" She asks with a weird expression. She twitched as she heard the word 'coward'. "If you must know, I am no such coward, and I rarely use my bow and arrow. And, I do not like the fact that you attempt to disgrace this wonderful witch race I am of." She said, a hint of assertiveness in her voice.
Lee looked at the girl. He had ideas in his head, depending on if Samin survived, that he would step in if it was hopeless. He backed off a ways."Be careful, Samin..." He said under his breath. He knew the witch was highly skilled, yet he did not know if she alone could take a mercenary on.
Samin, watch yourself!
You too, Phiotion...
"I would take to the skies if I were you, Phiotion," Samin said, barely audible. With a nod, small, brown wings unfold and flap upward to the sky. Samin was ever so cautious and smirked a little, fancying a small battle. She knew she could fight at close range very well, so she thought that was an option, since her major strong points are martial arts and dodging.
She observed her surroundings, patted the ground with a small foot, and looked for something she could provoke the young mercenary with....
hmmm....Maybe a taunt or two, another option would be to make fun, and another would be hmmmm.....
Samin, remember, don't for one second get distracted....
Samin nodded agreeing with Phiotion. I can't lose, or I'll die, most probably...

Aeron walked slowly foreward. She had no Idea how good her opponent was so she was being careful. When the witch's Dæmon took off Reon let out a hiss of anger, he was now useless. Don't worry, if the coward wants to watch he'll have to come pretty low, Aeron said telapathically. I'll be waiting Reon replied, crouching rown and lokking into the bilzzard above.
Areon was still walking up to the witch. There was no point rushing in and making a mistake. As she came close she raised her axes, ready to attack. she swung one at the witch's side. She was testing her reactions, measuring her defenses. It was like a game she played when she was younger, with wooden weapons. The two kids would each try to break past each other's defences, if you got hit, you lost. Aeron was an expert at that game. Launching fake attacks, weak ones that threw her opponent off-guard and wore them out. This was what she was doing now, light blows aimed to the right and the left. None of her attacks would hit and even if they did they wouldn't do much. She was waiting for an opertunity for a real attack. And when It came she exploded into action. She started throwing heavy attacks in from all directions, spinning round to get more power. Throwing ecverything she had into a flurry of attacks each aimed at a different part of the witch's body.
OOC: sorry, i'm not very good at character-character RP fighting, i've never done it before.

It's hard drawing things on a Laptop XP Samin bent down, picking up her sword. She tilted her head towards the girls daemon, who was eyeing Phiotion. She gave a stare and smiled lightly. Good work, Phio... Don't go too low, you may get attacked.Samin, you as well, you don't know what she's going to do!As the first blow came, Samin side-stepped the blow with ease, and continued to duck, being careful not to waste precious energy. She did swing her sword at the girl a few times, yet wanted to loosen the girls attack pattern, so that she would be able to move in and start attacking. Samin narrowed her eyes, and blocked most of the light attacks with her sword, and getting few cuts. When the real attacks started flooding in, Samin was ready, and Phiotion went down a bit lower, and was a bit frightened for Samin. Samin just smirked, and held her sword out, the sword clanging against the hard metal of the Axes. Samin jumps about 5 feet back, using her hand to halt the movement. Jumping back in, she slashes right at the girl a few times, then jumps a ways back, then follows through with the same plan at least 5 times.

Aeron was surprised with the combat ability this wich had. Most wiches wouldn't survive long in direct combat. Or none that she had seen had, but they were all killed by her family. She stared backing off as the wiches attacks increased. She had a plan to try and deceive the witch into thinking she was retresting then striking. She retreated a couple more steps when she felt something on her arm. She looked and saw blood. She hadn't even noticed the blade, she'd been looking the other way. It wasn't a deep cut but it was enough to make her realise the seriousness of the situation she was in. she preaired for her attack. She was about to spring. She was being pulled back. That shouldn't be happening. Strong hands were pulling her away from her foe. She was flung to the floor and a man stepped over her. He was armoured in chainmail and holding a huge broadsword. his head was shaven, and he was huge, well over six foot tall. He charged at the witch, weilding his massive sword with ease. Aeron jumped to her feet. "No Jon! This is MY fight!" she shouted. She knew this man. She was related to this man.

Samin watched the girl closely, observing the situation. She had some cuts on her self, but she wasn't worried. I can withstand that.... She thought. She readied her sword, for any attacks, breathing slowly, and putting on a smile fit for battle.
She was shocked by the massive man who had flung her opponent down. She looked at him, the man all covered in chain-mail armor, with a tilt of her head.
Ok, I don't think we should really involve our selves with that brute, Samin! We should get going! Now!
Phiotion, we can't just run away from battle! We've got Mr. Scoresby to protect!
Lee sensing danger, picked up his gun, went over to where Samin was crouching, and pointed his gun right at the man's head."I will not have you hurting Samin! So back off! Leave her alone, since, her opponent, is that girl sitting over there." He said, attempting to protect Samin.

The man stopped. He turned towards Aeron, ignoring the gun pointed at his head, and smiled. "You do know how to pick 'em don't you,"he calmly commented. Aeron stared at the man in disbelief. Did her family always have to interfere? Could she not be allowed to fend for herself? "I'm not just your little sister any more Jon, I can take care of myself," she said, just managing to keep a level voice. The Man's Dæmon, a large black panther, sat down by Reon and cuffed him about the head in a playful manor. "I know you're not a kid. But we always help each other, it's our way. You should know that." His tone was flat, leaving no room for debate. "I don't need a lecture from you, Jon. I was doing fine. Why did you but in?" Aeron asked. She had finally gotten away from her family and now they were following her. "It didn't look like it to me, it looked like you were losing. She's a witch. How did you get into a fight with a witch. And why didn't you just shoot her?" It was then that he noticed the gun lying in the snow. "Oh, I see. It was a matter of Honor. You're a mercenary, Honor means nothing." Finished with his lecture, he turned back the where the man and witch were stood. "Sorry, I haven't introduced myself. I'm Jonathan Jakobs, mercenary. I'm sorry about my sister, she tends to get carried away." He held out a hand for them to shake, while Areon, stood and seethed. She heard the sound of dogs in the distance. A sledge? "Oh god," she said, "There aren't more of you are there?" she asked. She had almost forgotten that the Jakobs almost never went anywhere alone. There was bound to be another mercenary somewhere in the blizzard. "Relax, it's just Oen. We're on our way to a merchant convoy that needs protection. He's staying with the sledge, he only came to test his new toy."
